Gold medal
The BIM Awards reward the best BIM projects in the Benelux. This year, our Waterfront project in Waregem won a gold medal. Together with our partners we won the first prize in the category 'industrial, tertiary, residential and commercial projects'.
Waterfront was proclaimed the best commercial and residential project in the Benelux. It is a mixed project with 120 apartments, a 72-room hotel and 400 m2 of office space. ION is developing it in collaboration with VK Architecten, B2Ai, BM Engineering, Steenoven and Alheembouw.
The BIM Awards only reward BIM projects, i.e. projects developed using a Building Information Model. This is a virtual representation in which all the information about the building is centralised. It is composed of various elements with their corresponding information such as technical properties and links with other objects in the building plan.
