Flint was designed by Leuven-based Comodo Architects. High-quality materials were combined with high-end finishes for the 205 student rooms, which range from standard rooms to studios. The property has numerous communal areas, including lounges, a gym, and a pool.

Sustainability and environmental awareness

The property, which was completed in 2016, was already a forerunner regarding sustainability at the time. Flint's construction and operation comply with rigorous design, structural engineering, management, and safety standards. Individual energy usage monitors contribute to responsible energy consumption, benefiting students and investors alike.

Social interaction and student community

The building was designed to promote social interaction. The units of 10 to 15 rooms each have a spacious kitchen and terrace. In addition to the nice patio and courtyard garden, residents can also meet in the gym, group study room, and recreation rooms.

Flint is in a prime location in the heart of Leuven, in the triangle formed by Frederik Lintsstraat - from which the residence takes its name -, Vesaliusstraat and Brabançonnestraat. The building is within walking distance of the university buildings, the city centre, and numerous other amenities.

Comodo Architects' qualitative design and superior finishing were a hit with investors from the start. All the units were sold before the building's completion. All units are rented out on an almost permanent basis.

During the 2021-2022 academic year, Leuven had a student population of 54,000, which continues to rise yearly. Up to 87% of students live in student accommodation in the city. Flint is the result of a collaboration between several partners, namely property developers ION and Allfin, Comodo Architects, contractor Louis Dewaele-Denys, and the Catholic University of Leuven. Wilgimmo, which specialises in the rental of student accommodation, manages the residence. The outcome of the partnership is a unique project, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience for students.
